  1. I think this is a very important article for parents. I have a healthy and very active toddler who has adapted quite well to additional items to her diet, like fruits and nuts. The challenge is that, like her Dad, she has a sweet tooth, so food items that are sweet are in, and food items that are not are generally out. My real concern is about vegetables which is important for a balanced diet. How do you advise us to get her to eat vegetables?

      Thanks for your comment. I hope my article was beneficial to all parents. Any kid should be raised to eat vegetables and fruits. With no sweets in their diet. From their early age, since they are born. If we all do this, our kids will choose themselves to eat vegetables. Our mistake is that we used to give our kids treats in sweets. And a lot of those. Thinking that we are giving them some pleasure. And we are wrong. 

      Encouraging toddlers to eat vegetables can be done by making them more fun and appealing. You can involve your toddler in selecting and preparing vegetables, which may spark their interest. Offering a variety of colorful veggies can also pique their curiosity. Adding vegetables to favorite dishes such as pasta or pizza can make vegetables more palatable.     Thanks for the useful article. It’s so true about parents setting the example and then kids following this. I know some kids can be plain picky, but most are shaped by their paretns view and what they are given to eat. 

    I always remember the saying from Computing “Garbage in, Garbage out!”. If you want to be fit and heatlhy then you have to eat well most of the time. Treats are great, just not too often. 

    There has been a lot written about the poor quality of modern soils due to overfarming which has left the soils nutritionally depleted. This in turn means that we don’t get anything like the quality of nutrition that our parents and grandparents had. Even trying to eat well, some degree of supplementation is necessary as the minerals and goodness simply aren’t there in the way there were. 

    Some research has highlighted lower levels of Omerga 3 and Essential Fatty Acids as being behind at least some of today’s chronic health issues. It has been linked to increase in allergies as they are a power anti-inflamatory which helps minimise your body overreacting to things such as pollen and pollution. Another study noticed a cluster of cancer cases in the mid west which turned out to be related to low selenium levels in the soils. 

    We always tried very hard with our kids to give them good food. We had one picky eater who has not turned out to the the most health concious of them all!

      Thanks for your comment. I wrote this post because parents should pay attention to this issue in particular. We are here for this. We work to feed our kids and babies in the right way. I made a huge mistake when raising my son. I depended all the time on delivery and junk food for the family, because I didn’t have time as a working Mom. I am suffering from this now, because he cannot accept switching to heathy foods any more. Trying to do my best to correct my own bad doings. I really am struggling because of this.

      Thanks for your comment. Actually, I am suffering myself from my son not raised to eat healthy. All of his meals are junk fast food. Which is not right. I am trying to fix this now, but I came late. I am struggling to correct this, and I would like all parents to watch out not to fall in the same mistake as mine.
